Materials
Tenex utilizes a variety of material including aluminum, mild and stainless steels, malleable materials such as copper,
brass, and bronze.
Tenex uses a 2500 watt CNC controlled HACOÓ CO2 flying optics laser with cutting capabilities up to 5/8” steel. Laser cutting is superior to traditional ways of manufacturing because of its speed and precision. Laser cut products are smooth to the touch and have a square edge so dimensions are true to design and burrs are virtually nonexistent.
Our advanced nesting software maximizes material
usage to minimize waste reduce cost in production. That savings is then passed on to the customer. No special dies are required
for punching which makes design changes a breeze.
Tenex recently added water-jetting to our facility, allowing us the opportunity to cut not only steel, but exotic
metals, aluminum, plastics, rubber, wood, copper, bronze, glass, and granite as well. Our new Maxiem 1530 (from Omax Corporation) has
the precision to cut your product accurately, and robustness to handle high production runs, or large components. Since
there is no special tooling required, set-ups are quick and easy. The machine is CNC controlled and can effectively handle
material up to 8" thick!
Forming
We use a variety of presses and punches including two 60-ton AccurÓ press brakes and one 130-ton press brake. Each brake has the ability to store 100 predetermined programs that can accommodate up to 9 bends- an excellent resource for larger production runs. Our 60 and 100-ton punches and Metal MuncherÓ Iron Workers give us the capability of punching, shearing, coping, notching and forming your parts in easy, efficient set-ups.
